Every booking through a listing platform pays that platform first. A booking on your own site does not. Here is a five night stay at R2,500 a night.

stays with you on that one booking instead of going to Airbnb. Your site does not replace the platforms, it gives returning guests somewhere to book that barely costs you anything.
Where these numbers come from
Rates as published August 2026. Airbnb host-only service fee is 15.5% for most hosts and 14 to 16% for some, per Airbnb's own fee documentation. Booking.com commission varies by market and property, commonly around 15% and ranging roughly 10 to 25%, before payment processing and optional Preferred Partner costs. Vrbo charges 5% commission plus 3% payment processing on pay-per-booking. Card processing on your own site is typically 2 to 3%, depending on your payment provider and market. Your own rates will differ, so treat this as an illustration rather than a quote.

Do I need professional photos before we start?
No. Photography & Copy is one of our six services, so if your current photos are not doing your property justice we can direct new ones as part of the project. Wherever your property is, we brief and art direct a photographer local to it against our shot list, then edit and sequence what comes back. If you already have photos you're happy with, we simply build around them.
How long does a project take?
It depends on scope. A single-page Essential site typically takes 5 to 7 business days. A full Signature brand and website runs 2 to 3 weeks. A multi-property Studio build with automation is usually 4 to 8 weeks. We'll give you a firm timeline once we understand your property.
Will this replace my Airbnb or Booking.com listing?
No, it works alongside them. Keep listing on the platforms that bring you reach, and use your own website as the place guests go to book directly, at no commission, once they've found you or once a past guest wants to come back.
Do you only work with Airbnb hosts?
No. Most of our work is with Airbnb and short-term rental hosts, but we also build for boutique guesthouses, independent property owners, real estate agents, hospitality brands, and property developers across South Africa, the UK, the United States, Europe, the UAE, and Australia.
What happens after launch? Do I need a developer to make changes?
No. Every scope includes post-launch support, and the Care Package keeps things running after that, covering ongoing content updates, rate changes, hosting, and monitoring on a single monthly plan. You send the change, we make it, no hourly billing.
Do I own my website and content?
Yes. Your site, your photography, and your copy belong to you once the project is delivered. It's built on your own domain rather than locked inside a shared template platform, so you're never stuck if you want to move it or work with someone else later.

We're headquartered in Cape Town, but the studio runs remotely and we build for properties in London, Edinburgh, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Nashville, Dubai, Sydney, Melbourne, Lisbon, Barcelona, Milan, Athens, Bali, Toronto, and across South Africa. Strategy, design, and build all happen with us. When a property needs new photography, we brief and art direct a photographer local to the property, so nobody has to fly anywhere.
